Fairly quick drawing of Cayro. Wanted to try out a new style of drawing dromaeosaurs a little more realistic and birdlike, so here's what transpired.

I think he's cute. :)

That's a lot better. The head looks perfect.

I like the lighting and the..."smoothness" of the coloring.

If you're looking for a critique, only things I could suggest are a background and work on the shadow- it's not darker in some places and lighter in others, as shadows generally are.

But I don't like critiquing things, especially things I love. =P
Thanks. :) I always appreciate critique. And yeah the shadow and background are both grade-A lame.

This looks really, really good. Very realistic. :D I don't think the light on the back would be that smooth, but I assume that you did that for artistic effect, and in that case it does look nice. =)
You know, my first thought was: How do you tell a male from a female?

I can't offer much critique, I just like fuzzy dinos XD

Heh, I'm slow to comment. ^^; I love it. The style is great and the physique is strong and slender. I much prefer the tame version of this, but I still like that inviting eye. ^..^

Creatures as dangerous as me have to be kept on a leash by law. The other restraints are just for fun!
Did Jon change Cayro's unfeathered parts to gray? I thought they were dark brown.
Well, when I first drew his character around two years ago, I asked him what color the scales should be, and I he said that I can make them the same color as I make mine. Since he didn't seem to have a preference, I made them grey. He never said they should be otherwise, so I guess technically he changed it.
